Non-native plants along roads and trails

Last 'new fact' of the year: we compared patterns of non-native plant invasions along roads and trails worldwide. The main patterns are similar, yet there are some important differences that warrant attention!

Most important finding: the typical decline in non-native species richness with distance to the disturbance that we know from roadsides is NOT seen along trails!

We published this first 'sneak peek' in our global trail survey as a chapter in a book on Tourism, Recreation and Biological Invasions, led by Agustina Barros.
